Published on 27/10/2017
Tripp Yvonne Patricia (née Davenport) May 25th 1939 Sept 15th 2017 Yvonne passed away peacefully at her home in White Rock BC, on Sept 15th, 2017. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Ray. Yvonne is survived by her son Derek Tripp, and wife Lori; daughter Kathy Kakuno and Greg Kakuno; daughter Sharon Tripp and her grandchildren Sarah, Travis, Shayne and Tori Tripp; Samantha, Tyler and Ashley Kakuno. She leaves behind her sisters, Maureen Benes, Valerie Evans (Ivor) and brother Barry Davenport (Patricia). Yvonne was born in London, England, to Colin and Annie Davenport (nee Rudd) in 1939, and grew up in Oxford, England. She graduated from Milham Ford High School and worked at Westminster Bank in Oxford. In 1961 she made her way to Canada, where she worked with the Bank of Nova Scotia in Toronto. It was at Scotiabank that she met the love of her life and future husband Ray Tripp. Ray passed away in 2015 and Yvonne grieved his passing every day since. After the family moved to the west coast Yvonne worked for many years with the Royal Bank of Canada, subsequently retiring from the Steveston, B.C. branch. Yvonne will be remembered for her humour and wisdom. She loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren, who gave her never ending joy in her later years. Yvonne especially looked forward to the family gathering every summer, in Kelowna B.C. "Grandma" will always hold a place in our hearts, and will be missed, always.
