I'm looking for celebrationsPaul Henry Thomas
Published on 29/11/2017
Thomas Paul Henry Died peacefully after a very short illness 19 November 2017, aged 95. A brilliant father, grandfather and great-grandfather; and a deeply loving husband to Betty (who died in 2008). His was a life where much was given with the broadest smile, and nothing was expected in return. He came to Oxford in the 1940s and joined Morris Motor's Tool Room. In the 1960s, he became an Instructor at BMC's Apprentice School, taking early retirement in 1981 to join the County Council as an Instructor in their Social Services Department, teaching young people and adults with special needs. He was a dedicated Freemason, avid gardener and, for many years, he and Betty volunteered at St Michael's in the Northgate. His and Betty's first home was in East Oxford, they moved to Risinghurst, and finally Yarnton. Funeral is on Friday 8 December: 2pm, Rainsbrook Crematorium, Ashlawn Road, Rugby CV22 5QQ
