PINNINGTON John Douglas John died suddenly at home in Benson on the 23rd March, aged 69 years. Beloved husband of Rosie, and much loved dad/Papa Bear to Simon, James, Stuart and Cazzi; special father in law to Emma and Andy, precious Grampy/Bampy to Jacob, Maisie, Marley, Dylan and Tia Rose. Loved by his late brother Dave and surviving brothers Jim, Harry and Steve and their families, also his many friends. A priceless treasure of a man, he will be greatly missed. Funeral service will be held at South Oxford Crematorium, Garford, on Wednesday 18th April at 1.00 pm. Family flowers only please. Donations if desired to Wallingford Emergency Food Bank may be sent c/o Howard Chadwick Funeral Service 33 Benson Lane Crowmarsh OX10 8ED or made online via www.chadwicksfuneralservice.co.uk

Have just read of John's passing after receiving a Christmas card from Sally and Jim, (John's) brother. Very sad to hear this news, Annette and myself send all our love and sincere condolences to all John's family. I worked with john in the late 60's and spent many an hour together. Lost touch over the years but still remember the many good times we spent together. A fine man and a privilege to have known you John. Sleep well. Tony Wilkins

I haven't been in touch with John for many years, suddenly today I thought of him and was going to send a Christmas card. I have now found out that he has past away. So sad. My thoughts are with all of his Family, he was my best friend at school and such a lovely man. Last time we met we shared our interest in music. He will be sadly missed. Nice to have known you John.xx Graham
