DOWNIE Horace Alexander 'Alec' It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alec, who sadly passed away on 18th July, one day after his 100th birthday. He will be greatly missed by his devoted wife Diane, his son Michael, daughter in law Heather and his granddaughters and great grandsons. A private family service is to take place on Thursday 10th August at North Oxfordshire Crematorium followed by a thanksgiving service at St. Michaels Church, Begbroke at 12.00pm. No black to be worn please. Donations in memory of Alec are being taken for Macmillan Nurses or Thames Valley Air Ambulance and can be made via www.horacealexanderdownie.muchloved.com or can be sent to C. S.
