DAVIS Kenrick Edgar 26th August 1941 24th August 2023 4 Corunna Crescent, Cowley, Oxford Formerly of Blades Hill, St. Philip, Barbados. Son of Louis and Ione Davis. Brother of Abina Likoya formerly Juliette Davis-Brathwaite (Manchester), Marlyn Davis-Kirton, Ronald and Jerome Davis (Barbados). Uncle of Sean Brathwaite also known as MC Buzz B, and Gina Brathwaite Great uncle of Kiva and Seren Corrigan and Ollin Garcia Reyes Cousin of Andrea Ahimie-Carthy also known as Andrea Trout, DJ (Manchester) Saxophonist of the bands Carib Six and Cuckoo's Nest Partner of the late Cynthia Plaistead; Friend of Paul, Gerald, John and Jacinta Dash; Sheila Aitken, Nola Morris-St. Clair and many others. The Home Going Service for Kenrick Edgar Davis takes place at 3 p.m on Friday, 22 September 2023 at the Oxford Crematorium, Bayswater Road, Headington, Oxford.

What can I say, Ken was such a lovely man. I have known Ken for many years when he stated dating my mum Sheila Aitken. Ken had the most amazing smile, he would always say to mum the sun was shining for her. I can remember him being in hospital and they were phoning my mum to pick him up and by the time we had got there he was pedalling away on his bike in his green jacket!!
Mum was his rock as he was hers and we were there right up until the very end!
You will forever be in our hearts and greatly missed!

Hello everyone. My name is Marlyn Davis-Kirton, sister of Kenrick. When I heard of his accident on his beloved bike, you can imagine how I felt being so far away.

I lived in England for many years and my husband and I would visit him as often as we could. On my return to Barbados in 1991 I would phone him every Sunday. Thank God for those memories.

When he was placed in the care home, I wanted to visit him but my doctor advised against making the trip. I wish I could have been there.

I want to thank all of his friends and the nurses for being there for him. Special thanks to his friend Sheila Aitken for being there for him and especially for keeping me updated through WhatsApp. Also special thanks to my nephew Sean Brathwaite for undertaking all the necessary arrangements.

Thank you all for just being there for him. May he rest in peace.

Good day,. I am Kendrick's brother Ronald Davis. I would like to thank all relatives and friends who expressed their deepest sympathy regarding the passing of my brother Kenrick. Though he lived miles away, our relationship was always enhanced by our phone calls. I will forever remember his smile and all of his acts of kindness. May he Rest In Peace.
