DANIELS Brian Anthony After a long illness, died on 21st September 2023. Much loved by all the family. A Service of Thanksgiving will be held at St Andrews, Chinnor on 17th October 2023 at 12 o'clock Donations, if desired, for Florence Nightingale Hospice www.fnhospice.org.uk

Brian worked for me as the Palaeomagnetism Research Laboratory Manager at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Oxford, for about 15 years. He was a wonderful colleague, and a delight to work with. Most of all, he had a fantastic sense of humour, shown in the photo of him peeking out with a pixie grin from behind a piece of lab equipment! He kept all the complex equipment running smoothly, and provided a supportive and encouraging atmosphere for the many Doctoral and Master's students who worked in the lab over that time. He made my work life so much easier and I will always remember him with great fondness.
