THERE WILL be no more walk-in vaccine appointments at the Kassam Stadium after huge queues.
Last week we reported that there had been three and a half hour queues at Witney walk-in vaccine centre. Read more here>>>
Lots of people have also been waiting outside of the stadium to get a booster shot.
As a result, hundreds of people could now be turned away at the door, unless they have an appointment.
From tomorrow, Kassam Stadium vaccination centre will be suspending the majority of walk-in jabs in order to prioritise pre-booked appointments.

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust said the only people who will receive walk-in doses are the severely immunosuppressed who have a letter advising of the need for a third primary dose or a booster.
Oxford Health is the lead provider for large-scale vaccination centres for Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Berkshire West and provide first, second and booster doses.
Anita Sherwood, Oxford Health’s interim director for Covid operations, said: “As more people become eligible to book appointments on the National Booking System we have taken the decision to suspend our walk-in offer so that we are able to maintain the smooth running of the mass vaccination centres.
“It is very encouraging to see so many people coming to our sites for their jabs every day and our teams are committed to ensuring that everyone who books gets theirs alongside a high level of care and customer service.
“We don’t want people to have a wasted journey so would encourage people to book an appointment or seek an alternative walk-in via the national website if that is what they prefer.
“We are continually looking at how we can use our resources to maximise appointment capacity and will keep the situation under review.”

The Guttmann Centre in Aylesbury and the Broad Street Mall in Reading will also be pausing the majority of walk-in jabs, leaving few places close to Oxfordshire to get a walk in jab.
First and second doses of Pfizer jabs are available at a walk-in clinic at Exeter Hall in Kidlington, but only on Mondays and Tuesdays from 9.30am-12pm and 2-4pm – ruling out most people who work or study during the day.
However, walk in booster jabs are only available at the site with a referral letter from a GP or hospital.
You can only get a booster dose if it has been at least 182 days since your 2nd dose of the vaccine, but you can book your booster appointment via the national booking system after 152 days.
Vaccinations can be booked via the National Booking Service and alternative walk-in opportunities can be found via the national Grab a Jab website.
