There are plenty of shows and events happening in South Oxfordshire in 2022 to get excited about.
From festivals, to films and plays, here is a list of what to look forward at the Corn Exchange in Wallingford and the Cornerstone Arts Centre in Didcot, as well as some festivals in the area.
For those who would like some music and romance, West Side Story, a film staring Ansel Elgort and directed by Steven Spielberg, will be playing at the Corn Exchange from January 30 to February 01.

If a period film sounds more appealing, Mothering Sunday, by director Eva Husson, will be played on February 03.
Easy Virtue, a film from 2008, will be playing at the theatre for free on February 04 to celebrate the Corn Exchange Cinema Manager, John Warburton.
The most awaited show at the Corn Exchange, Sleeping Beaty, will have its first performance in January.
The pantomime will have a total of 15 performances with matinees and evening shows, from January 14 to January 29.
The theatre will also have four live screenings, starting on February 02 with Bill Murray’s New World, the comedian’s final show of his tour, filmed at the Acropolis in Athens; on February 10 there will be a live screening of the National Theatre Live: Leopoldstadt, filmed in front of a live audience at the Wyndham’s.
On February 14 theatre goers and ballet fans will be able to enjoy Romeo and Juliet by the Royal Ballet, recorded from a live performance on February 03 from the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden.
Continuing with live screenings, from the National Theatre, The Book of Dust – La Belle Sauvage will be broadcasted live from The Bridge Theatre, London on February 17.
The Cornerstone Arts Centre, in Didcot, closed the Christmas season with The Ballad of Rudy last performance on December 24, a show for the whole family full of music and adventure.
They will continue with their Open Mic Nights which started on October 12, 2021 and will run until March 08, 2022.
Expo 21 by Andrea Brailsford & Mike MacGregor started on December 08, 2021 and will run until January 09, 2022. The exhibition encompasses ideas from a broad range of themes and subjects.
Didcot Film Club meets once a month and shows films that are not usually out in mainstream cinemas, including Hollywood classics, foreign language, and British Independent films. They will continue until February 23, 2022.
Didcot Concert Orchestra 7 will play on February 06. Violin soloist and acclaimed recording artist Clare Howick will perform the very rarely heard Nachtstück by Reznicek, and will play the Violin Concerto by Glazunov.
The arts centre will have a Valentine's Vinyl Night on February 11 that invites anybody to join their specially themed cocktail and dance the night away.
Both venues are requesting visitors to wear facemasks and are following government guidelines for Covid-19 safety.
Some Of the festivals and events in South Oxfordshire include the Henley Festival 2022, which starts July 06 until July 10; Truck Festival at Hill Farm in Steventon, from July 22 to July 24: Rewind Festival from August 27 to August 29; Abingdon Music Festival from November 04 to November 06; and Henley Royal Regatta which starts on June 28 to July 03.
