It's that wonderful day of the year again, happy Pancake Day.
Shrove Tuesday, in the Christian calendar, marks the day before Lent which is a season of fasting and penitence in preparation for Easter.
The aim of Pancake Day is to use up all your indulgent ingredients, but for those who are not keen chefs, or are simply busy, there are some great places to get pancakes in Oxford today.
It can also just be much safer for someone else to flip pancakes for you!
Here are 6 great restaurants in Oxford that serve delicious pancakes, where to find them, and what people have said about them on TripAdvisor.
1) The Handle Bar Cafe and Kitchen
28-32 St. Michaels Street, Oxford OX1 2EB England
A great spot, with great food (and bicycle parking), although you should expect it to be busy.
RachelMH18 from Tripadvisor said: "Delicious brunch, really recommend it for a place that serves locally sourced and slightly quirky dishes.
"It was very popular so I'm glad we booked but the turnaround of both food and tables is rapid so you won't queue for long. It felt very 'Oxford' to me, would definitely go back."
2) The Breakfast Club
Queen Street 303 The Westgate, Oxford OX1 1PG England
For those American blueberry pancakes you've been craving, this is the place to go. Mind it is very difficult to get a spot at peak times!

3) Glut
Pancake day is Mardi Gras, or 'Fat Tuesday', in French so this is an aptly named venue for a great brunch.

4) Happy Friday Kitchen (Vegan)
