A man who kicked and punched his ex-partner has been jailed for a year.
James Hampton, 39, attacked the woman in February and April, leaving her bruised.
On April 15, police were called to the woman’s home in Woodgreen Avenue, Banbury, where they found and arrested Hampton.

Welcoming the 12-month prison sentence, Sgt Sarah Nash of Banbury police station said: “Thames Valley Police takes violence against women and girls extremely seriously.
"Following a thorough investigation, Hampton has been brought to justice despite continually denying his offending.
“I hope this sentence demonstrates that we are relentless in our pursuit of offenders.
“The strength and the bravery of the victim to face her abuser and give evidence in court is truly humbling and I hope the sentence allows her to move on with her life.”

Hampton, of Bankside, Banbury, stood trial at Oxford Magistrates’ Court this week, where he was found guilty of assault by beating and breaching a non-molestation order.
The justices imposed a two-year restraining order, Thames Valley Police said.
