A carer has shared her experience ahead of a one-woman show she will be performing in Oxford for the first time.
Georgie Steele will be performing her debut 'And I'll blow your house down: Carer on the frontline' at the Offbeat Theatre Festival in Oxford in July.
The title references the three little pigs, a story the 50-year-old read at a birthday party soon after she found out her sons had a form of muscular dystrophy, where your body weakens over time.

The corporal mime artist's 17-year-old son Nye was four when he was diagnosed, her 15-year-old son Laurie was diagnosed when he was one.
She said: "Often people in difficult situations do have a great sense of humour. You have to laugh or you’ll cry. It was a bit of a shock when we found out.
On what inspired her to write this show she said: "There is a lot of feeling of not being recognised and not being seen as carers.
“I want to help carers tell their stories. If you can articulate and talk about your experiences then you are standing back from them and it helps you process what’s happening."
Mrs Steele co-runs a Carers' Cafe in a village just outside of Oxford.
She will be performing at the Offbeat Theatre Festival at The Old Firestation on George Street on July 12 at 8pm.
