North Leigh FC have announced their new manager after they appointed a new chairman.

The Oxfordshire club announced the appointment of John McDonough as chairman before revealing that Dan Nolan has been named as first team manager.

Mr Nolan comes in for James Keller who stood down due to other commitments while Mr McDonough replaces chairwoman Sharon Claridge.

The club said on X: "We are proud to announce that John McDonough has been elected as the new chairman.

"We know everyone will come together and support him, the club, team, and the committee, going forward."

Mr McDonough said: “Absolutely buzzing to get Dan back on board. We needed to to get some stability back into the club as quickly as possible, as games are so close this time of year.

"We’ve worked together recently at the club, and I believe he’s the right man to help push us forward.

"Myself, and the rest of the management team will remain unchanged.

"I’m sure you will all wish him every success.”

The club currently sits in second place in the Southern League Division One Central table, four points off leaders, Bedford Town, but having played a game more.

Their next match is at home against AFC Dunstable where they will be looking to bounce back from a 3-0 defeat at Biggleswade Town last time out.
