A TRIAL date has been set for a man accused of sexually assaulting an 11-year-old girl.

James Sellick, 58, appeared at Oxford Crown Court on Thursday (January 4) charged with four counts of sexual assault.

He has been charged with one count of sexual assault of a child under 13 – namely 11 to 12 years of age – one count of sexual assault of a female, and two counts of assault by penetration.

Sellick, of Langley Lane, Little Clanfield, Bampton, denied the offences which are alleged to have occurred between 2020 and 2023.

A trial date has now been set to take place at the same court on December 16 this year.

It is predicted the court proceedings will take about four days.
