The victim, who was crossing the road at the time, suffered broken bones and lacerations, added police.
He remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Following the incident, investigating officer PC Kevin Crick, of the roads policing unit, urged the female driver to come forward.
And he announced today that she has since contacted police.
Thames Valley Police is still appealing for anybody who was driving in the area and may have dash-cam capturing the incident to get in touch.
Witnesses can make a report on the force’s website or by calling 101, quoting reference 43240029706.
