Eight Oxford establishments are toasting to top scores following the latest round of assessments by the Food Standards Agency.
Restaurants Heat Africa(n) in Cowley Road, Chaska House in Golden Cross, Shake Shack in Cornmarket Street and Pompette at Portabello in South Parade, received five-out-of-five scores following inspections on January 10, January 17, January 19 and January 26 respectively.

Furthermore, cafes and canteens The Annexe at Cowley Road Methodist Church, St Hilda's College in Iffley Road and The Vaults And Garden Cafe at University Church Of St Mary The Virgin banked scores of five following their inspections on January 18, January 23 and January 26 respectively.
One takeaway – The Blue Elephant at The Chiltern Business Centre in 198 Garsington Road – scored the maximum mark after being inspected on January 15 this year.
Food hygiene inspections in Oxford are conducted by the Food Standards Agency in conjunction with Oxford City Council.
