A BRAND new court and crime podcast has been launched by The Oxford Mail.
The Oxfordshire Court and Crime Podcast, being published by The Oxford Mail, goes behind the scenes of all the latest trials, sentences, and more taking place across crown, magistrates' and coroners' courts.
Gee Harland, the paper's court and crime reporter, will host the podcast and bring listeners with her as she covers the latest trials as well as going into details about sentences that were not included in articles, flagging up future cases, and answering questions from listeners.
The first few episodes, the first being available to listen to now, covers the murder trial of Scarlet Blake, 25, who has been accused of murdering 30-year-old Jorge Carreno over two years ago.
His body was found at Parsons Pleasure, a popular bathing spot in Oxford, on July 26, 2021.
The podcast, which will be uploaded weekly, goes into detail about the police investigation and the ongoing trial, including details about how Blake came to be charged by officers and what the Crown Prosecution Service believe may have happened to Mr Carreno.
The podcast is available on Apple, Spotify, and more. Listeners only need to search for 'The Oxfordshire Court and Crime Podcast'.
