Five flood warnings and 38 flood alerts are currently in place for Oxfordshire.
The number of flood warnings has increased from three this morning.
The Met Office issued a yellow weather warning for strong winds and rain for today.
Oxfordshire County Council said: “We still have widespread flood alerts in Oxfordshire along with three flood warnings. Occasionally heavy rain is in the forecast for today.
The authority added that recent rainfall “has led river levels in Oxfordshire to rise to high levels once again.”

The county council's travel page on X has echoed the Met Office's warnings to motorists to take care.

In relation to Oxfordshire, the Gov.UK website’s flood forecast for today (Thursday, February 22) reads: “Today there's a low risk of flooding.
“It’s possible but not expected that runoff from rainfall or blocked drains and overflowing rivers will cause properties and roads to flood.”
Oxford City Council confirmed late yesterday that the path between Folly Bridge and Donnington Bridge has been closed due to flooding.
