A main Wallingford road will be closed for the 80th anniversary of D-day.
South Oxfordshire District Council has advised locals that the marketplace area - covering St Martin's Street and St Mary's Street, from High Street Junction to St Leonard's Square, is likely to be obstructed on Thursday, June 6.

As a result, the area will be closed to all vehicles from 8-10pm.
A program of events will begin in the Wallingford Town Centre at 8pm with live music from local school bands, prayer, poems and a procession.
The event will also feature the national lighting of the beacon and music from the Benson Military Wives Choir.
The council said restrictions would not apply to emergency service vehicles and shall be subject to the discretion of uniformed police officers.
