An Oxford restaurant is opening a new alfresco area and extending its opening hours.
Dosa Darlings is extending its hours to serve customers seven days a week, and is also introducing a largely covered alfresco dining space that can accommodate up to 50 guests.
Michael Raphel, owner of Dosa Darlings, which opened in February, had always waned to open a restaurant on Cowley Road.
He said: “We’ve been thrilled with the reception to Dosa Darlings from all our guests.
"The restaurant has been so successful that we’ve not only opened a new alfresco dining and drinks area, but we’re also expanding our opening hours.”
The restaurant specialises in Kerala cuisine and offers traditional curries and biryani dishes.
The main offering is the dosa, with flavour combinations including masala, dates and almond, and even blue cheese and truffle.
For those with a sweet tooth, authentic Indian desserts such as Rasmalai, Halwa and Pongal are also offered.
The cocktail list features signature drinks including the Bambo, which combines sherry wine, dry vermouth and orange bitters, Paper Plane, a mix of bourbon, Aperol, amaro and lemon, and the Keralan, which consists of rum, lime, pataka ginger, mint, champagne, angostura bitters.
The restaurant is part of the JM Socials group which runs food establishments in Cheltenham such as Prithvi, Bhoomi Kitchen, Holee Cow, and Bao + BBQ.
