Bicester Heritage has opened a new bar which will be open to the local community every Friday and Saturday.

Named Bar 101 to recall the former building that once stood in the same location, it will be operated by Sky Wave Gin, the multi-award-winning distillery based at Bicester Heritage.

Bar 101 will offer a "picturesque" place to relax with a drink this summer, and a large, covered seating area extends out front.

The bar will be open from 4pm on Fridays and 6pm on Saturdays and will close at 11pm each night.

Entry to the site is via Gate 1 on Buckingham Road, and Bar 101 can be found at the top of the Main Drive by Sky Wave Gin.

Parking is also available in the Blenheim Car Park.

Sky Wave is an independently owned artisan craft gin made in Oxfordshire.

The distillery was named the Gin Guide Award's Distillery of the Year for 2024.

More information on the distillery can be found on its website by searching www.skywavegin.com.

Bicester Heritage was founded in 2013 and the business centre has grown to accommodate more than 50 specialist firms.

The centre is based on the former RAF Bicester site which was neglected for around 40 years and added to Historic England's At Risk Register in 2008 before being taken on as Bicester Heritage.
