A tattoo shop in Banbury held a fundraising day this week to raise money for charity.

The Fat Rabbit offered a tattoo to anyone who made a donation on Tuesday (June 25).

A total of £1513.24 was raised for local charity Let's Play Project.

Let's Play Project is a charity that specialises in fun after-school clubs, holiday activities and youth groups for young people aged 5 to 25 with additional needs.

Jonathan Saunders owns the shop with his partner Alitia Saunders, and between them they tattooed approximately 40 people.

Speaking on the success of the event, Mr Saunders said: "We were going to do 10am until 6pm tattooing.

"But by the time we got to work at 8am to get ready for it, the queues were already around the corner.

"We were very pleased with the turnout. It was really nice to see the support from everyone.

"It's nice to try and help someone else as much as you can, even just a little bit in some sort of way."

Due to the amount of people that turned up staff did not have time to tattoo everyone on the day, so some people were given vouchers to come back at a later date.

The shop, which is in Church Walk in the town town centre, has been open for four years.

It has a crystal and witch shop within the studio and also offers free tattoos for mastectomy scars.
