An Oxfam shop is set to move premises to allow better access.

The charity shop in Witney is moving from 49 Market Square to 16 High Street.

It has been running a half-price sale on donated clothes, accessories and homewares, Fairtrade food and greetings cards.

The new shop, which is in a former restaurant between Poundland and Scrivens Opticians, is a little further up the road from the Oxfam bookshop at 14 High Street.

A spokesperson for Oxfam said: "The reason for the move is because the new shop offers much better accessibility for customers and staff alike."

A new nine-year lease on the old property in Market Square is available through agents Marriotts for offers of £28,500 a year.

Its website says the 570 sq ft ground floor shop and 665 sq ft basement are "in a prime retail area" and offer "versatile accommodation suitable for a variety of purposes".
