A 20-year-old is set to take part in a charity skydive following her mom's brain tumour diagnosis in 2021.

On Friday, July 5, Gracie Webb, who lives in Dry Sandford, near Abingdon, will jump from a plane at 12,000ft in support of The Brain Tumour Charity.

She is raising money for the charity that supported her mum, Michele, after she was diagnosed in August 2021.

She faced several surgeries and infections but is now "fit and well".

Gracie Webb said: "Brain tumours can be a lifelong battle, with 300,000 people diagnosed every year.

"Therefore, these people need urgent help with research and support.

"The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally."

She has set up a Just Giving page ahead of the jump and has already flown past her initial target of £500, having so far raised £1,598

Doctors were not able to remove Michele's entire tumour due to the risk of paralysis and other complications.

But despite having a titanium plate and regular maintenance scans, she is "living her life to her full extent", her daughter said.

She added: "I am so lucky that my mum was able to receive such incredible help and support.

"Your donations can fund vital research that could potentially save lives just how it saved my mum's."
