This trophy was brought back into circulation after sitting in a bank vault for more than 10 years.

The Donaldson Silver Rose Bowl was a gift to Eynsham Carnival and awarded to the winners of the band contest and later to the best float.

It was entrusted to Eynsham Royal British Legion whose members put it in Barclays Bank in the village.

In 1984, the trophy, worth £900, was returned to the carnival committee and again presented to the best band.
