New drivers in Oxford will be able to claim a free Burger King tomorrow (July 24).

To celebrate National Drive-Thru Day, Burger King has announced that newly qualified drivers can claim a free Whopper or Chicken Royale if they show their ‘L’ Plates to drive-thru staff and mention “BK Plates” at the order window tomorrow.

One of the first activities newly qualified drivers do once they’ve been given the green light is visit drive-thru with friends, but sometimes navigating a drive-thru for the first time can be tricky.

Therefore, Burger King has partnered with driving instructor turned content creator, DGN Driving, to create a short film with top tips to help new drivers master the art of the drive-thru.

The tips include turning down music as you enter the drive-thru so you can see and think better, know your order before you get to the order window so you don’t hold up the drivers behind you, speaking clearly so staff get your order right first time, and waiting until you’re safely parked up before tucking into your food.

The offer is available nationwide on Wednesday, July 24 at Burger King drive-thru lanes whilst stocks last.

Newly qualified drivers must verbally mention “BK Plates” at any Burger King UK drive-thru lane to unlock their free burger and show drive-thru staff their L Plate to redeem their free Whopper or Chicken Royale.
