FOUR people have been sentenced for drugs offences in Oxford.

The four were sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, July 19. Three were found guilty after a trial and one pleaded guilty.

Landry Ane, 22, of no fixed abode, was sentenced to seven years and nine months in prison, Raymond McGill, 20, of Brownhill Road, Lewisham, was sentenced to seven years and six months, Ammae Morrison, 18, of Wilson Close, South Croydon, was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for two years, and Ronica Khera, 29, of Westlands Drive, Oxford, was sentenced to two years in prison, suspended for two years.

Between November and December 2023, McGill and Ane ran county drug lines between Oxford and London.

They used the home of a woman in her 30s in Walton Street, Jericho, for their criminality for around a week, known as cuckooing.

During this time, McGill beat and threatened the victim with a firearm and Ane kicked her in the face and head multiple times.

The victim sustained severe bruising and swelling to her face and eyes. She suffered post-concussion syndrome months on from the assault.

McGill also refused to let the victim leave the address for about two days from November 28.

On November 30, officers found McGill and Morrison at the address as well as a large amount of drugs, a loaded firearm and drugs line phones.

McGill and Morrison were arrested at the scene and charged the following day.

On December 21, officers found drugs, money and drugs line phones associated to Ane and Khera at an address in Westlands Drive.

They were both arrested on the same day and charged the following day.

Ane was found guilty of two counts each of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, and one count of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

McGill was found guilty of two counts each of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, and possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine.

The jury also found him guilty of one count each of false imprisonment, assault occasioning ABH, and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.

Morrison was found guilty by a unanimous jury at the same court of two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine, and two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine.

Khera pleaded guilty at the same court to two counts of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine.
