The reason why a fire engine was stationed outside an Oxford suburb home has been revealed.
A fire engine was outside a house in Henley Avenue in Iffley at around 11.25am on Thursday after being sent from Slade Park Fire Station.
The incident took place just past the Rose Hill junction and involved helping a patient at the location before the fire crew left the site at 12.15pm.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the incident required them to assist South Central Ambulance Service.

A spokesperson for the service said: “Oxfordshire County Council’s Fire and Rescue Service were called today (July 25) at 11.25am), sending a fire engine from Slade Park Fire Station to Henley Avenue.
“The crew assisted SCAS with a patient and the crew left the scene at 12.15pm.”
