The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

DAVID ROBINS, 25, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to one count of harassment without violence between December 12 and 25 last year in Oxfordshire by sending a woman 20 unwarranted texts and voice messages. He also pleaded guilty to one count of racially/religiously aggravated harassment in Wantage on October 26 last year and he was found guilty one count of assault by beating on February 20 this year. He was jailed for 10 weeks and was ordered to pay £50 in compensation. There were no orders for costs.

NATHAN WANZIE, 19, of Cricket Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to drug driving in Cherwell Road, Oxford on December 17 last year. He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £250. There were court costs of £150 and a victim surcharge of £100.

CHRISTOPHER BROCK, 49, of Hart Place, Bicester, pleaded guilty to one count of theft from a shop on May 17 this year after stealing £142 worth of alcohol from Sainsbury’s in Bicester. He also pleaded guilty to a second count of theft from a shop on June 28 this year after stealing £45.15 worth of steaks from a Co-Op in Bicester. He was given a period of conditional discharge for six months and was ordered to pay £142 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

SEAN MACGREGOR, 48, of Highworth Road, Shrivenham, pleaded guilty to possession of a Class B drug, namely cannabis, in Faringdon on May 15 last year. He was given a period of conditional discharge for six months and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the drugs. There were court costs of £85.

ELDO CULLHAY, 27, of Westfield Court, Edinburgh, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention in Wallingford on July 21, driving without a licence, taking a vehicle without the owners consent from Ferry Lane, Moulsford, Wallingford, driving a vehicle without third-party insurance, and failing to stop a vehicle when required to do so by a constable/traffic warden. He was given a community order to complete 80 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months. There was a victim surcharge of £114.

SHAHINOOR CHOUDHURY, 28, of Bevington Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to speeding on the M40 northbound on October 2 last year, exceeding 70mph. They were fined £440 and had six penalty points added to their licence. There were court costs of £400 and a victim surcharge of £176.
