A man allegedly touched himself in front of a female dog walker near a children’s play area in an Oxford park.

The incident occurred at around 8.30am on Thursday, August 1, in Florence Park, as a woman in her 30s was out walking her dog.

She came across a man who was touching himself inappropriately near the children’s play area, police have said. 

The offender is described as between the ages of 35 and 40 years old, an average height, with dark hair and wearing a brown/black cap, white and black shorts and a t-shirt.

Thames Valley Police is now appealing for witnesses following the exposure incident.

Investigating officer PC Tobias Loughran said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this exposure incident to please come forward.

“We would particularly like to speak to a male jogger who either spoke to the victim or may have witnessed the offender.

“We are conducting extra patrols around the area whilst the investigation continues.

“All reports of exposure offences are dealt with seriously and robustly by police. If you witness an indecent exposure, you should call us immediately on 999.

“This is a crime in progress and so it is appropriate to use our emergency line.”
