FINE has been handed to a man who was caught stealing Lego from a B&M store.

Patrick Stokes, of Nowell Road, Oxford, was charged with one count of theft from a shop along with his co-defendant Ruby Parker, of Wycombe Road, High Wycombe.

The pair were caught on July 16 this year stealing Lego and suitcases from B&M in Daventry. The total value of the items stolen were £917.66.

At Northampton Magistrates’ Court on August 15, the pair pleaded guilty to the offence.

They were handed a £200 fine each and there were also court costs of £85 though no victim surcharge was ordered.

The courts did not order compensation as there was ‘no loss or damage’ to the items taken.
