A pub is offering "a little slice of heaven" with its new authentic artisan Italian pizza.

An award-winning supplier in Rome, Passione Pizza has been supplying Roman-style artisan pizza bases and sauces since 1985.

It is now producing pizzas for Jolly Foods, a premier wholesale food supplier based in Carterton.

Bosses say the bases are "light and thin, hand-stretched and available in a variety of sizes, while the sauces are made with the finest 100 per cent Italian tomatoes simply seasoned with olive oil, salt and rosemary for authentic results with a choice of toppings".

Jolly Foods was started in 2001 by Tim Adair and has since grown into a thriving food wholesaler supplying meat, local game, poultry, fresh fish, charcuterie, cheese, olives and smoked products to a range of hospitality outlets around Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.

Managing director Mr Adair said: “These delicious pizzas make the perfect dining experience for local hospitality businesses.

"There’s no skill required in making them, they have a long shelf life in the freezer and can be cooked from frozen if necessary.

"What is also great is that chefs have total control of their food costs and wastage, as you only cook what you need.”

If you want to try before you buy they are on sale at The Fox at Barrington near Burford, OX18 4TB.
