Oxford Mail Camera Club members have been playing a game of ‘guess the object’.
That was their latest weekly theme, and they took a series of close-up images, or photos from tricky angles, to see how hard it would be to identify the subjects.
Simon Jaggs was one of the first members of the group to reveal his subject - he had taken a photo of part of a goalkeeper’s glove, and we are selecting it as our photo of the week.
Each week camera club members are given a theme and then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page.
A selection of photos are featured in the Oxford Mail and in The Oxford Times and online and one photo is chosen as photo of the week.
Occasionally an outstanding photo unrelated to the theme is chosen as the winner, but usually the winning image is linked to the chosen theme. The next theme is ‘minimalist’.
