You might be struggling for ways to keep your kids, and maybe even yourself, entertained this half term.

Never fear, we can help.

With good weather not guaranteed, finding somewhere you can enjoy yourself come rain or shine can be tricky, especially if you don’t want to break the bank.

To help you decide how to spend your time off, here are a few activities you can enjoy with the family while on a budget.

5 budget-friendly days out in Oxford

See the latest films at the cinema

A quick trip to your local cinema can be a great opportunity to unwind while enjoying a film and sharing some snacks with loved ones.

While the cinema can seem like a pricey trip, especially for families, you can help keep the cost down by taking advantage of the Family Pass cinema offer.

Go for a walk

Across Oxfordshire, there are plenty of great places for an Autumn walk.

If you’re looking for a new way to enjoy a walk in your local area, you can create a wildlife bingo – giving your kids something to look out for as they stroll.

When they see some wildlife featured on their bingo cards, they can cross it off and you can decide the prize for the winner.

You can make the difficulty level as high or low as you’d like and you could even add some plants, trees or other things you might see like benches, people and dogs.

Classical music company offers kids classes for £5 bundle

Bit left field but, hear us out.

To keep your pre-school children entertained over the October half term, Mini Mozart is offering a package of online music classes for £5. This fee covers half-term children’s entertainment plus three additional weeks of classes online.

The package includes two online live interactive orchestral music classes for babies and toddlers. These online classes take place on Tuesday 29th October at 4pm and Friday 1st November at 10am.

The 45-minute classes will be hosted by a professional musician and will introduce children to the saxophone, clarinet, violin, French horn and piano with a mix of nursery rhymes and classical music. Interactive games will be used to teach the children about pitch, rhythm and repertoire.

Go for a roast

As the nights get darker and the temperatures slump, hearty British classics will be returning to pub menus up and down the country.

If the weather turns grim, how about a trip out for a roast to lift those spirits? See our top six list below.
