A fire walk has been held in Abingdon to raise money for an Oxford children's hospice.
The event took place in Tilsley Park on Saturday, October 19, in support of Helen & Douglas House.
Participants received training from Scott Bell, a two-time Guinness World Record holder for the longest distance walked on fire.
After about an hour of training, they removed their footwear and walked one by one across the red-hot embers, which reached temperatures more than 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit.
Each participant received a Helen & Douglas House t-shirt, fundraising tips and resources, and a completion certificate.
The event had a registration fee of £20 and a fundraising target of £150 for each participant.
It was hosted by UK Firewalk, one of the UK’s leading firewalking companies.
