A South Indian-inspired restaurant in Oxford is raising the stakes this Halloween – offering guests the chance to take part in a number of wickedly fun experiences.

From Tuesday, October 22 to Thursday, October 31, Dosa Darlings in Cowley Road will be hosting a spooktacular Halloween offering where daring guests can take part in a range of thrilling activities to win discounts on food and drink.

They will also have the chance to have their bill completely paid for by the house.

Encouraged to embrace the spirit of the season, visitors in fancy dress costumes – no matter how ghoulish or creative – will instantly receive a 10 per cent discount on their bill.

For those on the hunt for spirits, there will also be the opportunity to try Dosa Darlings' signature Halloween cocktails – with a twist.

A playful take on the classic ‘trick or treat’, the specially designed concoctions will see guests flip a coin to discover if they’ll be sipping on a delicious house cocktail of their choice with a 50 per cent discount.

Michael Raphel, owner of Dosa Darlings, said: "We’re excited to bring a playful twist to Halloween this year at Dosa Darlings.

"Our aim has always been to disrupt expectations and offer something fresh and exciting, and this Halloween offering really reflects that spirit.

"From the ‘trick or treat’ cocktails to the chance of having your bill paid for by the house, we want to create an atmosphere that’s full of surprises and fun.

"We can’t wait to see our guests get into the Halloween spirit with us, and we’re looking forward to treating them to some unforgettable experiences – whether they land a trick or a treat."

Part of the JM Socials group, which runs food establishments in Cheltenham such as Prithvi, Circo, Bhoomi Kitchen, Holee Cow, and Bao + BBQ, Dosa Darlings takes "guests on a flavourful adventure that seamlessly marries authentic Kerala cuisine with a contemporary twist", according to bosses.

Its menu includes traditional curries and biryani dishes as well as Indian desserts such as Rasmalai, Halwa and Pongal.

A spokesman for the eatery said: "The main event is the dosa, with flavour combinations including masala, dates and almond, and even blue cheese and truffle."

Dosa Darlings’ Halloween promotion will run daily from noon to 5pm and is available to those aged 18 and over.
