A global celebrity studying at Oxford University was spotted on Matriculation Day.

Brooke Boney hosted Australia’s The Today Show for five years before announcing a shock departure and career change earlier this year.

The presenter revealed that she would study at the University of Oxford and recently shared on social media that she had arrived.

Ms Boney is studying a Public Policy MA at the historic institution and has been enjoying her first few days in England.

Now based at St Antony’s College, the TV star has been spotted recently enjoying the perks of studying at the famous university.

She has attended freshers' events as well as eaten at several formal dinners in the city since arriving from Ox last month.

The 37-year-old has now attended Matriculation Day which took place last weekend on Saturday, October 19.

A statement on the University of Oxford’s website said: “Matriculation is the ceremony that marks your formal admission to the University.

“Attendance is usually compulsory unless you are entitled to incorporate or you are told otherwise by your college or department.”

Wearing white and black academic dress, Ms Boney was pictured along with her fellow students in Oxford city centre.

Earlier this month she was invited to a special formal dinner at Balliol College having walked away from her high-profile job in the media for the option to study in England.
