Police warned lorry drivers about the risks of their vehicles being targeted by stowaway migrants.
Officers from the National Police Chiefs' Council's Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking and Organised Immigration Crime programme and PCSOs from the Bicester and Kidlington neighbourhood team were at Cherwell Valley Services recently.
As part of an ongoing operation, they were providing a highly visible presence in the lorry park in a response to a number of targeted thefts from trailers and containers.
Lorry drivers were given security advice on keeping themselves, their vehicles and cargo safe.
Officers also talked to drivers about their experiences of migrants hiding in vehicles destined for the UK.
TVP Cherwell posted on Facebook: "Lots of useful intelligence was obtained from the lorry drivers that will be valuable in building a fuller picture of the latest trends and modus operandi of the organised criminal gangs."
