Oxford has been named among England's best places for hiking by a new study.
Outdoor experts from Blacks considered factors such as the number of trails, the percentage of moderate and hard trails, and the elevation of trails to come up with their ranking.
The city ranked fourth due to its number of trails, with 18 per 10 square km, and the number of trails it has with water views.
Almost three quarters of its trails have wild flowers, far higher than anywhere else, with its nearest competitor in this metric, Chelmsford, having 59 per cent.
Brighton and Hove topped the list, with Plymouth and Derby following in second and third, respectively.
York, Ipswich, Swindon, London, and Bristol also featured in the top 10, while Edinburgh took the top spot in Scotland.
