A rare £2 coin is being sold by an Oxfordshire resident on eBay for £10,000.

The item is listed on the online marketplace for 5,000 times its face value and features William Shakespeare's name as well as the crown and dagger from Hamlet.

With Queen Elizabeth II on the back, the coin dates back to 2016.

The description of the item reads: “Such is the literary legacy of William Shakespeare, that The Royal Mint has struck three official £2 coins in his honour  a first for the United Kingdom.
