A new French bakery in an historic Oxford city centre street is one step closer to opening after plans for new signs were lodged.
Lincoln College previously submitted a planning application to Oxford City Council for La Savoir Boulangerie to open at 12 Turl Street.
The college has now submitted a new scheme for a total of four signs, displaying the name of the bakery.
The unit has been shut since Christmas 2019 when the jewellers Rowell's closed.

The unit is in a Grade II listed building.
On the application's covering letter, it said: “Given the positive comments about the awning and signage, subject to amendment to the finish to the painted shopfront and lettering, which has been addressed via the amended plan submitted, as requested, we now submit this advertisement consent application for the proposed non-illuminated satin gold lettering to the shop fascia, the new traditionally-designed awning and accent lettering to the ground floor windows of the shop.”
It added: “We consider that it is a sympathetic signage scheme, which will be sensitive to the building and shop front, add to the vitality of the city centre and other commercial businesses on Turl Street and respect the considerable heritage assets in this part of Oxford.
"The proposal does not cause any harm to the significance, character, appearance or setting of the attractive Grade II listed building, neighbouring listed buildings or the Oxford Central (City and University) Conservation Area.”
