A developer has been given the green light to build 42 new homes.

Greencore Homes was granted planning permission for its Milton Heights development near Didcot.

The development will consist of 42 homes, including 27 open market and 15 affordable homes.

The scheme, designed by HTA Design, will be located just under three miles from Didcot Parkway Station and will include new accessible green spaces for residents.

The housebuilder, known for its sustainable housing approach, builds homes that are net zero in operation.

The homes are also designed to have better than net zero embodied carbon in the structure and ultra-low embodied carbon in construction.

The M&G-backed housebuilder acquired the five-acre site in February 2023 and aims to complete the project by the third quarter of 2026.

Jon Di-Stefano, CEO of the housebuilder, said: "The UK needs to build a lot more new homes but it also needs those homes to support and protect our climate as much as possible.
