The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
SAMANTHA PRIOR, 48, of Botley Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to 10 counts of theft from Oxford shops between July 8 and October 29 this year. The total value of the items stolen was £664.80. Prior must pay a total in compensation of £484.80. No orders for costs were made.
LUKE GRANT, 38, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of assault by beating in Oxford on August 4 this year and failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates' Court on October 17. He also pleaded guilty to five counts of theft from shops in Oxford committed between August 4 and September 13. He also pleaded guilty to causing £150 worth of damage to a police car in Cowley Road, Oxford, on October 30. Grant was given drug and alcohol treatment orders for 12 months and he must comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of 15 days. He must also complete a rehabilitation activity for 30 days. He must also pay a total in compensation of £553.90.
MICHELLE ROCHE, 43, of Pound Way, Oxford, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving on an E-Scooter on Cowley Road, Oxford, on April 26 this year and one count of being in possession of a class A drug, namely crack cocaine, on the same day. Roche was banned from driving for 17 months and must pay £85 costs, a victim surcharge of £26 and a fine of £50. She also received a 24-month conditional discharge.
STEPHEN ROBUS, 38, of HMP Bullingdon, pleaded guilty to disorderly behaviour in Oxford on September 20 this year. He must pay a fine of £40. There were no orders for costs.
ANTONY HENTON, 70, pleaded guilty to stalking a woman in Abingdon between February 2022 and August 2023. He must pay cots of £175, and a victim surcharge of £114. Henton will also have to wear an electronic tag until February 4 next year and was ordered to remain at his home address from 5pm until midnight until November 7. He must also comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of five days and a two-year stalking protection order was made.
FAARAH HIRABE, 30, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing sweets and chocolate from shops in Oxford on August 29 and October 28 this year. The total value of the items taken was £333.49. Hirabe must pay £237.49 in compensation and a fine of £50. Nor orders were made for costs or a victim surcharge.
