Thames Valley Police has shared shocking footage that shows an Amazon drink-driver, who has since been jailed, cause chaos on the A34.
On June 21, Adrian Dumitrache, aged 36 of North Parade, Derby, drove a van in the wrong direction on an A34 slip road near Wendlebury.
He collided with a number of vehicles.
A man, in his 50s, attempted to confront Dumitrache by approaching his vehicle on-foot.

The footage shows Dumitrache driving away while the man was holding onto his van.

The man managed to remove the keys from the van’s ignition, bringing it to a stop.
He sustained a broken leg requiring surgery and ongoing treatment.

He was arrested on the same day and charged on September 20.

Dumitrache was sentenced to two years and 10 months in prison on Monday, November 11 at Oxford Crown Court.
He pleaded guilty to causing serious injury by dangerous driving and driving a motor vehicle when above the alcohol limit.
He was also disqualified from driving for four years and five months.
