A string of soap stars got a chance to take in Saltburn’s breathtaking views as they hopped on board the iconic cliff tramway.
Actors from ITV’s Emmerdale wrapped up warm in big coats and wooly hats as they enjoyed a trip to the seaside last weekend (Sunday, November 17).
And a trip to Saltburn is, of course, not complete without a journey up the historic cliff lift - something that Zoe Henry, Olivia Bromley, Emma Atkins, and Katherine Dow Blyton also seemingly couldn’t miss out on.
Henry, who plays Rhona Goskirk, Bromley, who plays Dawn Taylor, Atkin, who plays Charity Dingle, and Katherine Dow Blyton, who played Harriet Finchley, were all pictured smiling as the prepared to head up from the Grade II listed building.
Trevor Russell, team leader at the tramway, said: “The guys working said they were all absolutely lovely and were enjoying a day out.
“They took the time to be photographed and were just really nice to everyone. I’m devastated I wasn’t there to see them – I’m an absolutely huge fan, I never miss an episode…just my luck!
“But seriously, it was lovely that they came to our town and attraction to enjoy themselves.”
The cliff lift has only been open for several months after a devastating electrical fire caused significant damage on January 15.
The attraction, which is Britain's oldest water-balanced cliff funicular, was luckily closed for winter maintenance when the blaze broke out, and nobody was injured.
Repair works got underway after May before the lift finally relaunched in late September.
