Oxford is a city full of shadows and it’s a good time of year to try to capture them on film.
Shadows was this week’s theme for the Oxford Mail Camera Club members and they sent in lots of photos from around the city, and from the countryside.

It was perhaps a reminder of the 1993 movie Shadowlands, which told the story of Oxford fantasy author CS Lewis and his relationship with American poet Joy Gresham.
Each week camera club members are given a theme and then post their photos on the club’s Facebook page. A selection then feature in the Oxford Mail, The Oxford Times and online.
For more details about the club, visit the club’s Facebook page. The next theme is ‘abstract’.
