A burglar thought to have targeted a property for its vehicles ended up stealing an occupant’s shoes instead.
Access was gained to a property on Idstone Road in Ashbury village in the Vale of White Horse district between 10.45pm on Tuesday, November 19 and 6.45am the following day.
Thames Valley Police suspect that the vehicles on the driveway were the target, but reports that clothing and footwear were stolen.

The force is now appealing for anyone with footage or information to come forward.
A spokesperson said: “Entry has been gained and a search conducted. Clothing and footwear have been stolen.
"It is believed the vehicles on the drive were a possible target.
“If you have any CCTV or ring doorbell footage or relevant information, you can get in touch by calling 101 quoting the reference number 43240561379.”
