The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:
NATHAN KUMASAMBA, 23, of Holt Road, Birmingham, pleaded guilty to having a machete in Abingdon on July 2 this year. He also pleaded guilty to driving without a licence, without insurance and while under the influence of drugs on the same day. He was jailed for four months, suspended for 12 months. He must also comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of 10 days. He must also complete 60 hours of unpaid work within 12 months and pay costs of £85. An order was also made for the machete and the drugs to be destroyed.
GARY WICKENS, 42, of Leach Road, Bicester, pleaded guilty to six counts of theft from shops in Bicester committed between May 28 and September 13 this year. The total value of the items stolen was £283.44. He also pleaded guilty to one count of possessing a class B drug, namely cannabis, in Bicester on March 5 last year. He must pay a total in compensation of £209.37. An order was also made for the dugs to be destroyed.
BEN MILLER, 31, of High Street Erlestoke, pleaded guilty to stealing a bicycle in Headington on July 1 this year to the value of £20. He must pay compensation of £50.
HARRY BURTON, 22, of St Peters Way, Stratford-Upon-Avon, pleaded guilty to drug driving and driving while disqualified and without insurance in an Audi A3 on the A34 southbound near junction nine of the M40 on March 3 this year. He must comply with the orders of the responsible officer to attend appointments for a maximum of 15 days and must complete 80 hours of unpaid work within 12 months. He was also banned from driving for 36 months.
KRISTAN WHITE, 30, of Thame Road, Chinnor, pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving a Ford Focus on Thame Road, Thame, on July 27 this year. White was banned from driving for 12 months and must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £32 and a fine of £80.
MYLES JONES, 23, of Corwen, Denbighshire, pleaded guilty to drug driving an Audi A4 on the A34 southbound at Didcot on August 5 this year. He was banned from the road for 16 months and must pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £230 and a fine of £576.
ANDREW BROWN, 58, of Henry Taunt Close, Oxford, pleaded guilty to five counts of theft from shops in Oxford committed between June 24 and October 28. The total value of the items stolen was £427.77. He must pay £427.77 in compensation. He was also jailed for 14 weeks due to the offences being in breach of a suspended sentence.
