Two men in a white van have been stealing from rural areas around Chipping Norton. 

Police are warning people to stay vigilant after three reported thefts over a 48-hour period. 

In a message to residents PCSO Lisa Lavington said: “There have been three incidents of theft in rural areas over the last 48hrs in and around the Chipping Norton area.

“The information so far is of a small white van and two males. One male is described as wearing a black hoodie, black puffer jacket, dark jogging bottoms, white trainers with black soles, short brown hair, late 20s to early 30s. Unfortunately there isn't a description of the 2nd male available at this time.  

“CCTV and cameras that live stream to your phone are a great way to help deter theft and other crimes, please think about putting in place security measures to help protect your homes and possessions.

“Please stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to 101 or if it's an emergency call 999.”
