A major road going into Oxford city centre will remain closed while water is pumped away.
Abingdon Road has been closed this morning due to the serious flooding which has city the city and wider parts of the county.

County Council said: “Fire crews have now assessed the Abingdon Road. The road will be temporarily closed for as short a time as possible while water is pumped away.
In a statement issued this morning, Oxfordshire“The road will be reopened as soon as practical. Water levels in the area currently do not appear to be rising any further.”
People are being advised to not use Abingdon Road today. The bus gate in High Street will not be enforced today due to the flooding.
