Police officers on patrol located a stolen van in a village near Oxford which is being recovered for a forensic examination.

PCs Dollery and Woolley from the Thames Valley Police Rural Crime Taskforce team were completing "proactive patrols" on Friday, November 30 in the evening.

During this they attended a report of possible trespassers on land in the Ewelme area of south Oxfordshire, near Wallingford.

Following this, the officers located a stolen Ford Transit van in Horspath, a small village around three miles from the centre of Oxford. 

The officers also searched a male under the Misuse of Drugs Act and "seized cannabis" during their patrol.
